Scott: We weren't good enough

Aldershot boss Andy Scott admitted that his team had "not been good enough" in the 2-0 defeat at Rotherham.

The final result sentenced Scott's men to a return to the Conference after five years in League Two. The Shots finished the campaign three points adrift of safety and Scott, sacked by Rotherham just over a year ago, admits he already begun thinking about next season. "I've been working hard since I came through the door, but you can only work with what you've got," he said. "We have a pre-season plan in place and we have players we want to bring in and we know the football and the formation we want to play and if we can bring players in that fit those criteria we'll be OK. " It's going to be a long close season and there will be a lot of doom and gloom around the place but we know when we come back everyone will be focused on the job in hand. "We have to run the ship properly. It has had too many holes in it all season."
