Holdsworth slams misfiring Shots

Aldershot boss Dean Holdsworth was fuming after his side missed a glut of chances and ended up empty-handed against Macclesfield.

After going ahead before half-time through Danny Hylton, the Silkmen produced a stirring fightback as Ross Draper set up George Donnelly and scored a goal of his own to down the Shots 2-1. "I'm still in shock after the result," said an under-pressure Holdsworth. "When I see the opposition manager yet again telling me we should be out of sight, it's upsetting. "When I look at the stats now, they tell me we've had 19 shots to their three. We're getting punished for lapses in concentration. A game isn't just won in 95 minutes, it's won during the week. "I thought first half we were magnificent, we've got our goal, created numerous chances but we need to learn fast and it's my job not to make knee-jerk reactions and also to look at individuals. "I won't stop trying to make us a good footballing side, I won't stop that. What I will do is try and educate the players."
