Worthington's woes continue

York manager Nigel Worthington was left disappointed as his side's winless run continued after a 0-0 draw with Rochdale.

The Minstermen, who are now without victory in 13 attempts, created the better chances but it was not until stoppage time when Dale goalkeeper Josh Lillis was called into action following John McGrath's effort. Worthington is now hoping his side can create more in the final third of the pitch as his team look to move away from the drop zone. "I thought we were well worth the point in the end but I feel we needed more quality in both halves of the game in the final third of the pitch," he said. "If we had that bit extra to create the chances then we could have gone on to get all three. "The players showed commitment, energy and effort for me and I can't fault any of the players for that. What I want is for us to play at a high tempo and not launch the ball forward throughout the match. "What we do need to do is to look at the wide areas and get a bit more quality out there because it wasn't good enough for us to pick up all three points. "That is something we can improve on and hopefully it will start at home on Saturday."
