Flynn hails Bantams' JPT run

Michael Flynn believes Bradford can be proud of their run to the northern area semi-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

The Bantams put their League Two struggles behind them to knock three Yorkshire rivals - Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield and Sheffield United - out of this season's competition before Tuesday night's 2-0 defeat at Oldham ended their Wembley dreams. Flynn, whose stunning effort at Sheffield United in the northern section quarter-final won the Ultimate Finish of the Round award, told the club's official website: "I'm obviously a bit disappointed at the moment that we couldn't get to the area final. "I was gutted to miss the match through suspension, but I think we can be proud of our achievements in the competition this season." Flynn added: "I must admit, I'm a bit surprised to win [the award], but it's a great honour to do so. "The night at Sheffield United was a very special one for everyone connected with the club and this award will now make it a little bit more special for me when I look back and remember the game."
