Brentford defender Leon Legge has signed a new long-term contract with the League One club.

The 26-year-old's new deal will keep him at Griffin Park until 2014. He signed from Tonbridge Angels in 2009 and was named Supporters' Player of the Year in his first season at the club. "We are delighted to have secured Leon's future and pleased he has committed to a long-term contract," sporting director Mark Warburton told the club's official website. "It is a testament to Leon that he has developed so well since joining Brentford and is a key player. "He has adapted well to modern League One football and to the change in playing style at Brentford over the past six or seven months. "We are sure he will play an important role in Brentford's future."
