Paul McGinley’s team of international professional golfers won the Abu Dhabi Invitational after defeating Peter Schmeichel’s Celebrity All-Stars.
The event, played in a Ryder Cup Matchplay format, saw McGinley's side prevail 13-6 at the Yas Links Golf Club.
Recent Ryder Cup players Thomas Pieters and Matt Fitzpatrick were joined in the professional side by the likes of Ian Poulter and European Tour regulars Dave Horsey, Thongchai Jaidee and Matthew Southgate.
Schmeichel was joined in his side by fellow former football stars Ruud Guillit, Dwight Yorke and Roberto Di Matteo, with cricket heroes James Anderson and Brian Lara among the others in the side.
"It has been a great pleasure playing alongside so many talented men and women today, on such a wonderful course," McGinley said.
"I would like to thank Abu Dhabi for welcoming us so warmly. I look forward to returning next year for another great tournament."
The tournament saw 19 professionals, each playing off a +5 handicap, and 19 celebrities paired with a special VIP guest.
