Playing the famous 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale can be a terrifying experience during the Phoenix Open when around 20,000 fans surround the hole, so playing it in the Shot Centre should be a doddle.

So can Sky Sports Golf presenters Nick Dougherty and Simon Holmes hit the green at the 168-yard par-three without the pressure of a baying crowd?

Nick and Simon took part in a "nearest the pin" challenge from the relative safety of the studio during coverage of the opening round in Arizona, so could the coach get the better of the former European Tour professional?

Simon had the honour and may have "hit the big ball before the little ball" according to Nick, who then made excellent contact with a seven-iron on a good line ... but did he strike it too well?
