We take a look back at some of the memorable moments from Pebble Beach history ahead of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

The worlds of golf and celebrity will merge again on the PGA Tour at this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, at a venue where which has seen plenty of memorable moments through the years.

Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson and Tiger Woods all feature on the tournament's roll of honour, with Woods' victory coming in 2000 after a stunning hole-out from the fairway set up a final round comeback.

The celebrities play a key role in the event, played across three courses, with actor Mark Wahlberg going inches away from a hole-in-one during last year's competition.

The Pebble Beach Golf Links course has also hosted six majors and will be the venue for the 2019 US Open, 47 years on from Nicklaus' stunning 1-iron at the 17th to set up a one-shot victory.

Nicklaus was involved again a decade later, where Watson chipped in at the penultimate hole and celebrated around the green on his way to a sixth major title.

The last major held there saw Graeme McDowell become the first European winner of the US Open for 40 years, claiming a narrow one-shot win over Gregory Havret.
