Jordan Spieth snatches the Travelers Championship title after holing a spectacular bunker escape at the first extra hole against Daniel Berger

Jordan Spieth produced one of the most electric moments of the golfing calendar this year and he celebrated the moment in great form.

Spieth, who required a sudden death play off to win the Travelers Champonship, celebrated his victory by throwing himself towards caddie Michael Greller in a frantic finale to the tournament.

The two-time major winner fired a hole-out bunker shot at the first hole of the sudden death play-off to defeat compatriot Daniel Berger to win on his debut appearance at the Travelers amidst raucous celebrations from the watching crowds.

The holed bunker escape came shortly after he performed a great up and down on the 18th hole in regulation play to force the play-off with Berger.

The victory for the 23-year-old had the hallmarks of a previous PGA Tour victory which came at the 2013 John Deere Classic where the world No 6 forced himself into a play-off by holing out from the bunker on the 18th hole of the final day.
