Ian Poulter looked every inch the proud father as his son Luke proved that golfing talent runs deep in the family in a fun visit to the Sky Zone at the Irish Open.
Poulter admitted to feeling jaded having endured a hectic week, coming through a 36-hole Open qualifier at Woburn on Tuesday before hopping on a jet to compete at Portstewart.
The Ryder Cup legend slipped eight shots off the lead after a third-round 73, so he was more than happy for young Luke to take centre stage as he gave a driving clinic.
The 13-year-old has clearly inherited his father's passion for the game, and he showed off an elegant swing that was all the more impressive as he was using dad's driver - which is an inch or two longer than standard.
And it didn't take long for Luke to demonstrate why his handicap tumbled from 19 to 11 in a short space of time, and he is looking forward to supporting his father at next week's Scottish Open followed by The 146th Open at Royal Birkdale, where he was runner-up to Padraig Harrington the last time the showpiece was staged there in 2008.
