Rory's struggles

Ryder Cup hero Poulter is also expecting another of his Medinah colleagues, Rory McIlroy, to come good again sooner rather than later. "The year he had last year was just absolutely exceptional," said Poulter who partnered McIlroy in the memorable Saturday fourballs at Medinah. "Yes, he's changed equipment so the easy excuse is to say it's the equipment. "The problem is... world number one, major winner, massive year last year, wins two money titles, where does it go from there? "The only way you can better that is to go and win three majors in one season so it's very, very hard. "It would be very easy to have a comedown which is exactly what's happened. I think the new equipment will take a little while to settle in. "The second the confidence gets back to where it was, Rory's going to be flying."
