Darren Fichardt was left fuming after missing a putt for par on the 13th hole in the Alfred Dunhill Championship.

Darren Fichardt didn’t take kindly to carding a first bogey of the week during the opening round of the Alfred Dunhill Championship.

The South African, who won the Sunshine Tour's Vodacom Origins of Golf Final earlier this month, had made a steady start to the week and was two under for the day when he made his way to the par-five 13th.

Having left himself an eight-footer to save par in blustery conditions, Fichardt was left less than impressed after his ball didn't break as he'd expected.

A big swish of the club later, Fichardt briefly composed himself to nudge in the bogey putt, although it didn't take long before letting his anger show again as he took his frustration out on his flat stick.
