Lee Slattery produced one of the rounds of the season to move top of the leaderboard at a weather-affected D+D Real Czech Masters.
Slattery fired a seven-under 65 in tough conditions to set the clubhouse target at Albatross Golf Resort, with heavy rain failing throughout the morning.
Conditions didn't improve and play was abandoned for the day at 2.20pm local time due to a waterlogged course, with four groups yet to begin their second rounds.
Beginning on the back nine and six adrift of overnight leader Callum Shinkwin, Slattery opened with back-to-back birdies and added a hat-trick of gains from the 13th.
Slattery birdied the 17th to reach the turn in 30 and grabbed the outright lead with gains at the second and seventh, but missed from five feet to bogey his penultimate hole.
"It's got to be up there, if not the best round (of his career)," Slattery said. "14 fairways and 17 greens in this weather it was pretty incredible.
"My wife is seven days overdue now with our second baby, I managed to stay home for two weeks because she was early with the first one.
"If she can hold off for another couple of days then that would be great and that would be a great present for me, bigger than any golf tournament."
Dylan Frittelli was one off the lead after playing his first four holes in one under, with Chris Hanson joining Pontus Widegren on five under after an opening-hole birdie.
English duo James Morrison and Shinkwin are both on four under for the week and early into their second rounds, while Zander Lombard is Slattery's nearest challenger in the clubhouse after signing for a 71.
Defending champion Julian Suri lies five strokes off the pace following a two-over 74, with Thomas Pieters, Eddie Pepperell and Matt Fitzpatrick also in the group on two under after 36 holes.
Pieters carded a second successive 71, while playing partner Martin Kaymer looks set to miss the cut following a four-over 76.
The second round will resume at 7.30am on Saturday with the third round being played in three-balls off two tees.
