Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods were both beaten in the first round of the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship on a day of shocks in Arizona.
With snow having caused much of Thursday's play to be cancelled, as well as a late start on Friday, organisers were attempting to make up for lost time and by the end of the session only two first round matches were still to be completed, with Carl Pettersson one up on Rickie Fowler through 17 holes and Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano and Francesco Molinari all square through 15 holes of their contest.
