The elite of world golf return to Florida to compete in The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass.
This week's instalment in Ponte Vedra Beach will be the 40th in tournament history, dating back to 1974 when Jack Nicklaus won the inaugural event at Atlanta Country Club.
All but eight Players Championships have been held over Pete Dye's famous creation which opened in 1980 and first staged 'the fifth Major' two years later.
The course underwent a facelift ahead of the 2007 event when it moved from its original March date to early May.
TPC Sawgrass has some of the smaller greens on the PGA Tour schedule.
