98th PGA Championship: Andrew Johnston frustrated by putting at Baltusrol

Andrew Johnston admitted he was frustrated by his putting as he ended his opening round level par at Baltusrol.
It was an up-and-down round for the 27-year-old Englishman, particularly on the back nine as he recorded three birdies and three bogeys between the 10th and the 15th hole before recording his fifth birdie of the round on the last.
"I made it quite tough," he told Sky Sports. "I thought I drove the ball really good and hit some good irons but I thought I putted really poorly today.
"I had a couple of three-putts which was frustrating but I just kept going and battled because I knew I was hitting it well. I just tried to hang in there and get it back to somewhere near level."
Much in the same way as he did at The Open at Royal Troon, Johnston received plenty of support from the New Jersey crowd.
However, he insists that the added attention is not adversely affecting his game.
"I've just done exactly the same as I did a couple of weeks ago," he said.
"I've gone from greens to tees, a few high fives as people put their hands out and just acknowledge the crowd, but when I get to my ball, I'm ready to go. It's been absolutely fine."
