Glenn McCrory believes Tyson Fury will need to overcome his nerves to stand any chance of defeating world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.
Fury challenges Klitschko for the WBA Super, WBO and IBF titles at the ESPRIT Arena in Dusseldorf on Saturday - live on Sky Sports Box Office.
The 27-year-old (24-0-KO18) said on Friday that he was ready to complete a "demolition job" on Klitschko (64-3-KO53) and become only the eighth British heavyweight to win a world title.
Despite Fury's confident outward demeanour, McCrory says the unbeaten Brit will be battling the nerves ahead of his first world title fight of his career.
"It is very new for Fury, this type of level. It's a big jump for Tyson and he's away from home. It will be dawning on him now, the big job he has got at hand," McCrory told Sky Sports News HQ.
"The nerves will start to creep in as Wladimir has done this so many times before and has done it successfully. He'll be thinking about that and the nerves will start to have an effect."
Carl Froch also feels Fury has placed himself "under unnecessary pressure" after suggesting he was going to make an "old man" of the 39-year-old Ukrainian.
"His (Klitschko) defensive style has been criticised, but I am a fan and for the last 10 years he has done everything right," Froch told Sky Sports News HQ.
"He has been unbeaten for the past 10 years and has fought some great fighters. He nullified David Haye, when Haye was whipping everyone out.
"Anyone who has been in front of him recently he has whitewashed them and made easy work of it.
"Tyson Fury will realise tonight he is in a fight and he has put himself in a position where he has told everyone that he is going to win and make an old man of Klitschko.
"I think his words were that he was going to win one thousand per cent and potentially knock Klitschko out. He has put himself under unnecessary pressure."
