Matthew Hoggard's first-class career ended in defeat as Hampshire manufactured a 180-run victory over Leicestershire on the final day at Grace Road.
Veteran pace bowler Hoggard was left stranded on three not out on his final county appearance with Leicestershire bowled out for 184 in pursuit of a contrived 365 target.
Hampshire declared on a first-innings 364-2 and both sides forfeited an innings to generate a result after rain wreaked havoc with the first three days.
The move backfired badly on Leicester, though, who were 111-6 at lunch before being bundled out shortly after the interval.
Matt Coles claimed 5-75 for his new county while fellow seamer James Tomlinson chipped in with 4-60.
Number eight Tom Wells comfortably top-scored for Leicestershire, who failed to register a single win during the Division Two campaign, on 82.
