Lastly in Group D, it was the much fancied Samsung Galaxy who took first place, with second place being decided by a tiebreaker game between Team SoloMid (TSM)and Royal Never Give Up (RNG).

The American side TSM struggled to defeat RNG, after an early three-kill assault gave RNG a significant initial lead that it managed to maintain as the game unfolded. TSM attempted to hold on to the game - even managing to hold back a final RNG push into their base by defeating the entirety of the opposing team - that ultimately wasn't enough.
