Great Britain's women's curling team claimed a crucial 8-6 win over Japan in their bid for another Winter Olympics medal.
Skip Eve Muirhead, Anna Sloan, Vicki Adams and Lauren Gray - bronze medallists at Sochi 2014 - now have five wins from eight games.
Muirhead told BBC Sport: "We knew it was going to be a very difficult game. We went out and gave them a lot of respect, played our own game.
"We went down a couple early but we came back, had a great fifth end chat with our coaches and they must have done something well because we came back with the three in the sixth end."
They next play Canada on Wednesday in their last of nine round-robin games, where, depending on results elsewhere, a win is likely to be required to progress to the semi-finals.
"I think it's important that we go up a gear from now," Muirhead added. "I think every game we had we've got slightly better, that was two back-to-back solid performances.
"We're feeling really good going into tomorrow and hopefully if we can play great again, who knows what will happen."
