Sam Oldham denied World Cup of Gymnastics medal

Great Britain’s Sam Oldham fell agonisingly short of making the podium at the World Cup of Gymnastics at London’s O2 Arena.

"It was obviously the mistake I had at the start, because I had a really strong finish," the Sky Academy Sports Scholar told Sky Sports.
"I always knew it would be tight, and I knew that if I could hit a good parallel bars routine and a good high bars routine [which is my best event] then I'd be in contention.
"It's brilliant to be back on this stage, at this level. It's been a couple of years since I've competed at a major championships - you've got Olympic medallists here."
Ukraine's Oleg Verniaiev won gold at the event.
