Naoyuki Oi gave a typically brilliant interview as he bid farewell to the World Cup of Pool after Japan lost in a heavy 9-2 defeat to Chinese Taipei.
The Japanese No 1 player rose to prominence in February when his hilarious post-match interview with Sky Sports presenter Tony Wrighton went viral.
And following on from his antics at the World Pool Masters earlier this year, Oi was in great form at the World Cup of Pool in London last week.
Oi pulled out a rubber ear from his pocket following Japan's 7-2 first round victory over Thailand, but this time he was saying goodbye after he and partner Hijikata Hayato were knocked out at the quarter-final stage.
Asked if he would return to the World Cup of Pool next year, Oi replied: "Next year, come back!" before admitting that much "Training, training, training!" would be needed for the tournament in Bethnal Green.
Chinese Taipei went on to lose their semi-final 9-4 to the USA, though the American duo of Shane Van Boening and Skyler Woodward were powerless to prevent Austria's Mario He and Albin Ouschan from winning the final 10-6.
