Karen Atkinson and Karen Greig will take charge of an England Fast 5 squad captained by Jo Harten as the Roses look to retain their World Netball Series title.

With Tracey Neville overseeing the seven-a-side team that will be in action in Kingston for an International Series against Jamaica a week earlier, it will be former Loughborough head coach Atkinson who takes the reigns.

Atkinson left her position as Lightning head coach after winning the inaugural domestic Fast5 All Stars last year but will step into during a busy period for the Roses.

Manchester Thunder director of netball Greig will work alongside Atkinson as assistant for the all-action Fast5 event that takes place in Melbourne and will see the team head down under earlier to begin preparations.

Experienced shooter Harten will lead the squad with Jodie Gibson the vice-captain, while the squad includes rising stars Eleanor Cardwell, Amy Carter and George Fisher with the experience provided by Sasha Corbin, Emma Dovey and Layla Guscoth.

Corbin, Fisher, Gibson, Guscoth, Ella Clark and Natalie Panagarry will all join the squad having played in Jamaica as the Roses look to defend the crown they won last year, their first major global success since 2011 when they won the World Netball Series under the old Fastnet rules.

That success kicked off a brilliant 12 months for the Roses punctuated by winning Commonwealth Games gold on the Gold Coast in April. They will hope their current winning form continues into next year when they host the Netball World Cup in Liverpool in July.
