The Green Bay Packers have claimed running back Christine Michael off waivers, reports NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
Michael was surprisingly waived by the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday after starting seven of their nine games this season.
He had lost a good deal of his carries in recent weeks to rookie C.J. Prosise and the Seahawks also have Thomas Rawls coming back from injured reserve.
Michael has rushed for 469 on 117 attempts so far this season, scoring six touchdowns, and he has also made 20 receptions for 96 yards and a score.
The Packers were expected to be one of Michael's chief suitors as they have had trouble running the ball all season, mainly down to injury.
Starter Eddie Lacy could miss the rest of the season after ankle surgery and James Starks has only just returned from injury, with converted wide receiver Ty Montgomery having been forced to fill in at times.
Indeed, quarterback Aaron Rodgers ranks second on the team with 226 rushing yards this season and he has been responsible for all three of their scores on the ground.
Don Jackson, one of the players brought in to try and fill a need at running back, was placed on injured reserve to make room for Michael on their 53-man roster.
