Greg Jennings picks Carr, Cowboys duo and Mack as MVP candidates

With the 2016 regular NFL season now over, attention turns to the play-offs and the race to make the Super Bowl.
However, for a select few players, the decision of regular season MVP is still up for grabs. Despite missing the first four games, Tom Brady is in contention, alongside Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan.
Super Bowl winner and former wide receiver Greg Jennings believes that there are three other candidates that should be in the frame for the NFL's coveted individual award.
"The way the season has gone, I like what Derek Carr has done with Oakland," said Jennings. "It was a cruel injury, but you can see how much he means to that team and that city." .
Carr led the Raiders to their first play-off appearance since 2002, before breaking his leg in week 16 and being ruled out of the post-season, which begins this weekend.
"Next we have the two-headed monster in Dallas - Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott. It's hard to pick one of those guys, they have both done so much for the franchise this year.
"Finally, I want to look at a defensive guy that has been playing out of his mind. Khalil Mack has been unbelievable for the Raiders and, for me, is a shoo-in for Defensive Player of the Year."
Mack has registered 11 sacks this season, but the NFL hasn't had a defensive player voted MVP since 1986, when linebacker Lawrence Taylor won the award.
Carr's injury may rule him out, following strong final weeks from Brady and Ryan, while the rookie pairing of Prescott and Elliott impressed from week one until they were rested in week 17.
Quarterback Prescott equalled Ben Roethlisberger's record of 13 wins in a rookie season, and Elliott ran for over 1,600 yards and 15 touchdowns.
The winner will be announced on February 4.
