Dallas Cowboys will have Ezekiel Elliott for at least one more game as the NFL's request for an expedited hearing was turned down on Monday.

The 22-year-old is facing a six-game suspension over a domestic violence allegation but a series of federal rulings and subsequent challenges mean he is yet to serve the ban.

In an order posted on Monday, US District Judge Katherine Polk Failla turned down the NFL's request for an expedited hearing on a preliminary injunction. She set one for October 30, a day after the Cowboys visit Washington.

A restraining order granted last week cleared Elliott to play in Sunday's 40-10 win at San Francisco and he followed up with a career-best 219-yard game, including three touchdowns.
