The Jacksonville Jaguars defense got the better of the Buffalo Bills in 10-3 victory in their AFC Wild Card meeting on Sunday, setting up a divisional round game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Quarterbacks struggled throughout, with Buffalo's Tyrod Taylor and Nathan Peterman each throwing interceptions - Peterman's pick a game-ending one by Jalen Ramsey - while Jacksonville's Blake Bortles had only 87 yards passing.
However, Bortles made up for it by rushing for 88 yards and he threw the only touchdown of the game - a one-yard strike to tight end Ben Koyack in the third quarter on a gusty fourth-and-goal call.
The Bills never threatened the endzone, and any hopes of a late comeback were hurt when Taylor was knocked out of the game on the final drive.
Taylor slammed his helmet hard against the ground after being tackled by Dante Fowler Jr. He had to be helped off the field, with back-up Peterman coming into the game with a minute and a half remaining.
All-Pro cornerback Ramsey intercepted Peterman's third pass, diving to catch the ball at the second attempt. The play was reviewed with the ball seemingly coming loose as Ramsey hit the ground, but the call on the field stood. The Jaguars then ran out the clock.
Jacksonville now head to second-seeded Pittsburgh next Sunday, a rematch from Week Five, where Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger threw five interceptions as the Jaguars won 30-9.
