All-Pro guard Andrew Norwell has agreed a deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars that will make him the NFL’s highest-paid offensive lineman, according to multiple reports.
Norwell, a free agent after spending four seasons with the Carolina Panthers, will sign a five-year deal worth $66.5m with $30m fully guaranteed.
ESPN's Adam Schefter was the first to break the news.
The deal, which averages $13.3m, makes Norwell the NFL's highest-paid offensive lineman ahead of Russell Okung ($13.25m), Trent Williams ($13.2m), Terron Armstead ($13m) and Tyron Smith ($12.2m).
Norwell is a big addition for a Jaguars offence that will lose wide receiver Allen Robinson, who is set to sign for the Chicago Bears.
