Nose tackle Haloti Ngata agreed to a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, strengthening one of the best defensive lines in the NFL.

The Eagles are adding defensive end Michael Bennett via trade with the Seattle Seahawks and already feature a deep and talented line, including interior pass rusher Fletcher Cox.

More than $57m of the Eagles' salary cap was dedicated to the defensive line for next season before the Ngata deal.
