New York Giants head coach Pat Shurmur expects Odell Beckham Jr to attend their offseason workouts in April.

It is understood the Los Angeles Rams and the Giants held talks over a potential trade for the wide receiver.

A first-round draft pick, plus extras, could be a part of that deal, according to multiple NFL sources.

Speaking at the NFL owners meetings on Tuesday, Shurmur said: "All reports are he will be ready to go as we get going. There are steps he has to take.

"All indications are he will be back healthy by the time we start playing in September."

Giants owner John Mara did not rule out the possibility of Beckham Jr being involved in a trade and admitted he "wouldn't say anyone is untouchable".

But Shurmur added to the statement by saying: "That's another way of saying we're going to try and do everything we can to make our team better."
