After one of the greatest comebacks in sporting history, the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons reflected on the game.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady led his team back from 21 points down, to a 34-28 overtime win against the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI.

After the game, players, coaches and owners of both teams met with the media to break down the game.

On winning

Tom Brady, Patriots quarterback

"It was hard to imagine us winning. Two years ago it came down to Malcolm (Butler) making the play, and this year down 25 points. They're all special.

"It was a tough battle, but we brought each other back. We never fell out of it."

Bill Belichick, Patriots coach

"What a game. Can't say enough about our team. I thought (Dont'a) Hightower's sack was a huge play for us. We just kept trying to find a crack in the armour and keep plugging away."

Robert Kraft, Patriots owner

"Two years ago, we won our fourth Super Bowl and I told our fans that was the sweetest of all. But, a lot has transpired during the last two years.

"I want to say to our fans, our brilliant coaching staff, our amazing players, this is unequivocally the sweetest."

On losing

Matt Ryan, Falcons quarterback

"I felt like we were in a good position. (Julio Jones) made a great catch on the sideline. It didn't end up working out, which was disappointing.

"There's nothing you can really say. That's a tough loss, it's hard to find words tonight."

For me, I'm not going to be upset about my play or my effort. You can't be disappointed in yourself or feel any type of way if you leave everything on the field.

"I'll let it go. It's over with. I gave it my all and I know my brothers did too."

Devonta Freeman, Falcons running back

"I've lost before, it's just one of those things. I'll always remember this game for the rest of my life."

On Brady, five-time champion and Super Bowl MVP

James White, Patriots running back

"He's the greatest quarterback ever. He willed us to victory. An amazing player, an amazing team-mate, and I'm happy to have him on my team."

Chris Long, Patriots defensive end

"Tom Brady - he's an assassin man. He tears people's hearts out. He just did it tonight."

"Whoever says that he is not the greatest, you guys are stupid."

Danny Amendola, Patriots wide receiver

"He was always the same as he always is, cool, calm and collected. He's the leader, the general, the best ever and that is the end of the story."

On Edelman's catch

Julian Edelman, Patriots wide receiver

"I was just trying to track it. I felt like I had it. I didn't know if a piece of the ball was touching [the ground].

"It feels good, I'll tell you that right now. It still hasn't hit me."
