Emma Lavelle plans to be ready to begin sending out runners from her new base for the start of next season after completing the purchase of Peter Makin's stables in Wiltshire.
After 17 years at Hatherden, near Andover, Hampshire, she will move her string in April to operate from Bonita Stables in Ogbourne Maizey, near Marlborough.
Makin put his stables on the market after announcing his intention to retire at the end of the Flat season after a 48-year training career.
"We've always rented our present place and this was a fantastic yard that came on the market, so it's very exciting times," Lavelle told At The Races.
"There's lot of reasons that attracted us to it. First and foremost it has to be the gallops. They are sensational. They are so historic and spectacular.
"The location. We didn't want to be to too far away from where we are now with all our current contacts in the area.
"These places don't come on the market so when it appeared we were very excited.
"We'll stay where we are for this season. Peter is going to retire at the end of the Flat season so his business needs to be wrapped up.
"We'll do this season at home with a view to moving there in April. Realistically it's going to be the start of next season we will be properly operating out of there."
