Oisin Murphy is expected to be out of the saddle for three to four weeks with a broken collar bone.
Murphy took a fall at Southwell on Wednesday when the fatally-injured Vivacissimo slipped up on the bend.
The jockey then took his next mount on Andrew Balding's odds-on favourite Mystic Blaze but was beaten into second.
Balding said: "He broke his collar bone when he had the fall and will be out for three or four weeks.
"He took the ride after it and rode through the pain but then took himself off to hospital.
"I think they said he had snapped his clavicle."
Murphy will be joined on the sidelines by Martin Lane who will be out for about a week after taking a tumble at Kempton on Wednesday.
The jockey was unshipped from Wink Oliver after being badly hampered when Isis Blue came down over two furlongs out in the 32Red Handicap.
Lane is reported to be stiff and sore but plans to be back in action before heading for a brief spell in Dubai.
"He's stiff and sore and will be out for a week to 10 days," said his agent Simon Dodds.
"He's looking forward to riding in Dubai for a couple of weeks and then coming back for the All-weather Championships Finals on Good Friday."
