Warriors loanee staying with the Huddersfield Giants

Back row forward Lee Mossop is staying at Huddersfield after Wigan agreed to extend his loan spell. The 20-year-old Cumbrian made three appearances for the Giants in his initial month-long spell, which ended on Wednesday. But the deal has now been increased on a week-to-week basis and Giants coach Nathan Brown feels both parties will benefit. "It's great news for the club as he's a young player that can certainly help us and it's a win-win situation for both the Giants and Wigan," Brown said. "I'm grateful to Wigan chairman Ian Lenagan, who has allowed us to keep a player of Lee's talent, and they know that when he returns he will be a more rounded player through playing Super League games." The Giants next face Castleford at home on Friday, with Mossop expected to be included in the 19-man squad.
