London Broncos have confirmed promising teenager Alex Walker has signed a first-team contract at the Super League club.
The 18-year-old played rugby league at Brentwood and Newham Dockers before linking up with the Broncos youth system.
Walker will remain playing for their Under-19s while training with the first-team squad after signing a one-year contract with the capital club.
"It's great that these young guys have signed up to the club, I see them all as a big part of my first team squad moving forward over the next two seasons,” said head coach Joey Grima.
"Alex Walker will train with the first team but continue playing for the under-19s this season.”
Head of youth Darren Higgins said: "Alex has had an outstanding season in the under-19s and demonstrates the high levels of professionalism and attitude that we are looking for in our players.
"I'm delighted that his attitude, commitment and hard work have been recognised and rewarded with a full-time contract.”
