Warrington produced a dramatic 22-20 Betfred Super League victory over Wakefield to stretch their unbeaten run to five matches thanks to a 78th-minute try by winger Tom Lineham.

The Wolves looked to be heading to defeat, thanks to two Wakefield tries in the opening 10 minutes, including an effort from Mason Caton-Brown but staged a spectacular second-half comeback to claim an important win at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Elsewhere, Widnes winger Patrick Ah Van went over for a pair of tries to stun St Helens and give the Vikings their first home win of the season after a 16-14 triumph. Ah Van's two tries either side of half-time, the first of which showcased an impressive dive in the corner, ensured Widnes took the points and eased the pressure on under-fire boss Denis Betts.

Sunday saw Hull FC survive Liam Watts' first-half sending off to beat Super League table-toppers Castleford 26-24 at the KCOM Stadium, with Mahe Fonua scoring two of the Black and Whites' four tries including a tight-finish in the corner.

The Tigers launched a comeback shortly before the break with a try from Michael Shenton after good work from Jake Webster, which was converted by Ben Roberts to narrow the gap to 20-14 at the break.

Despite the efforts of Castleford as the game went on, Hull hung on to their lead to send the Tigers to their third defeat of the season as the home side moved to within a point of their opponents.
