Andy Murray feeling 'physically good' after break

Andy Murray has told Sky Sports he is feeling 'physically good' after returning with a win at the Shanghai Rolex Masters after a three-week break.
The world No 2 stormed to a straight sets victory in his opening round match against America's Steve Johnson. It was Murray's first match since guiding Great Britain to a Davis Cup semi-final win over Australia in September, a week after the conclusion of the US Open.
Murray decided to skip the following three weeks of ATP Tour events seeking rest, as he heads towards a busy November schedule that includes the final Masters 1000 event in Paris, the season-ending World Tour Finals in London and the Davis Cup final in Belgium.
Speaking to Sky Sports Tennis after his win in Shanghai, the British No 1 said he's happy with his decision to rest.
"Psychically I feel good," confirmed the 28-year-old.
"It was very important for me to get that rest. I think mentally as well I needed it.
"It was tough few months from after Wimbledon really, I played a lot of tennis there.
"The Davis Cup matches are extremely rewarding. You feel great when you're able to win but it's also mentally draining playing three matches in a row with a lot riding on each one.
"It was important for me to get a bit of time away from the court. And after this event I've got another couple of weeks where I won't be playing any matches, so I'll be able to get some further rest there and get some training done, work on some things and again, and hopefully stay fresh for the end of the year.

"I didn't hit balls for about eight days after that [Davis Cup semi-final]. I took about five full days off where I did nothing.
"Now that I'm a little bit older I need to keep my body moving a little bit. So at the end of the week after the Davis Cup I got in the swimming pool, did some mobility work, did some Pilates to try and keep myself loose.
"I feel good just now and I'm happy with the decisions that I've made in terms of my schedule right now and hopefully it works through to the end of the year."
