Martin Klizan claimed his second ATP Tour title of the season with a 6-1 6-4 victory over Pablo Cuevas in the final of the German Open.

The Slovakian continued his perfect record in tour finals, moving to 5-0 with a straightforward success over the third seed from Uruguay.

Cuevas had not dropped a set on his way to the final in Hamburg but that soon changed when he dropped his serve twice in the opening set to seventh seed Klizan.

The second set was a tighter affair but Klizan managed to hold on to his final break of Cuevas' serve, with his own serve proving particularly strong.
