Richard Gasquet will not participate in next month's Olympic Games in Rio because of a back injury.

Gasquet was forced to withdraw from Wimbledon earlier this month during his fourth round match against fellow Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

His place in the France team has been taken by Benoit Paire.

It is the second time Gasquet has pulled out of the Olympics, the world No 14 having also missed the 2008 Games in Beijing.
