Nick Kyrgios was so frustrated that he lost the first set to a double fault in the Cincinnati Masters that he decided to smash three of his rackets!

Nick Kyrgios' frustrations boiled over as he smashed three rackets in rapid succession before being knocked out of the Cincinnati Masters by Borna Coric in the second round.

The volatile Australian lost 7-6, 4-6, 7-6 to Coric and showed his displeasure after dropping an opening set tiebreaker by picking up the rackets from his courtside seat during the changeover and whacking them on the hardcourt surface one after the other.

Kyrgios managed to regain his composure with an excellent display in the second set to push the match to a third.

However, he let the match slip away in the final set as teenage Croatian star Coric came back from 3-5 in a climactic tiebreak by winning five of the last six points to win 8-6.

"You have to focus on yourself," Coric said when asked by Tennis Channel about the excitable Kyrgios. "I believe I did that unbelievably good today."

Coric, 19, now takes on Rafael Nadal on Thursday for a place in the quarter-finals.
