Simona Halep cruised into the Madrid Open final for the third time in four years with a 6-2 6-3 success over Latvia's Anastasija Sevastova.
But Halep could face a tough test in the final against in-form Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic.
After her match, Halep said: "I heard that I am the first player who does three finals here.
"I feel at home here.
"The crowd is supporting me all the time, the courts fit me. I feel that the altitude is helping me also."
The Romanian reeled off five straight games to close out the opening set but Sevastova hinted at a fightback early in the second, as she got out to a 3-0 lead.
But Halep bounced back in emphatic fashion to win the last six games for the loss of just 14 points.
She next faces Mladenovic, who beat Russia's Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) to reach her third final of the season.
