Lucas Pouille collected his second ATP Tour title of the season, after recovering from a set down to beat Feliciano Lopez in the final of the Stuttgart Open.
The Frenchman won 4-6 7-6 (7-5) 6-4 in two hours, eight minutes, staving off six break points against the experienced Spaniard.
Pouille, who was given a wild card to play at this grass-court event, hit 29 aces en route to securing the first grass court trophy of his career.
In a contest dominated by serve, the only break of the opening set came in game three, while the next arrived in the fifth game of the decider.
The decisive moments of the match came early in the second set when Pouille, the world No 16, had to save two break points in back-to-back service games.
The 23-year-old survived and eventually levelled the contest after a tie-break which yielded just a single mini-break.
In the final set, world No 33 Lopez offered his first and only break point of the match in game five, which Pouille gratefully converted and held on for victory.
Meanwhile, Britain's Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares of Brazil collected the doubles title with a 6-7 (4-7) 7-5 10-5 win over Oliver Marach and Mate Pavic.
Elsewhere, Gilles Muller beat Ivo Karlovic in the final of the Den Bosch Open in the Netherlands.
Once again, it was the serve which dominated proceedings as Muller overcame his Croatian opponent 7-6 (7-5) 7-6 (7-4) in 95 minutes. Muller smacked 22 aces to Karlovic's 19.
Neither set produced a break point opportunity, as the world No 28 from Luxembourg collected only the second title of his career.
In a match between two experienced players, the combined age of Muller's 34 and Karlovic's 38 meant it was the oldest ATP Tour final for 41 years - when Ken Rosewall beat Ilie Nastase in Hong Kong.
