The Birmingham-born British No 2, who turns 24 later this week, will face the challenge of nine of the world's top 100 ranked players.
Evans, the world No 130, made his Davis Cup debut in 2009.
Dutchman Igor Sijsling, at No 52, is the highest-ranked player taking part, while Aussie Matthew Ebden - the world No 75 - returns to defend his title.
Also in the field is Ukrainian Sergiy Stakhovsky who conjured up the biggest surprise of last year's Wimbledon Championships when he beat Roger Federer in four tough sets in round two.
Tournament director Paul Hutchins said in a statement: "This year's entry list is strong with a number of players with title-winning track records in Nottingham returning in search of further glory.
"Nottingham offers players a very early chance to get used to the grass, so it's great for them to hone in on their grass court game ahead of Wimbledon.
"What's great about these Nottingham tournaments is they're completely free for spectators, so I'd urge all tennis fans in the Midlands to come down and support the British players as they begin their grass court campaigns."
The tournament starts on Tuesday, June 3.
