Home interest in the mixed doubles tournament is over after both matches involving British players ended in defeat on Friday.
While Jamie Murray and his Australian partner Casey Dellacqua lost their quarter-final in three sets, the all-British duo of Neal Skupski and Naomi Broady were out-played in just 88 minutes on Court No 1.
Murray and Dellacqua, seeded No 10, were beaten 6-2 3-6 6-3 by the No 14 seeds Max Mirnyi and Hao-Ching.
In the deciding set, the only break of serve came in the second game as the Belarus-China team served out for victory on Court No 12.
Two years ago at Wimbledon, Mirnyi and his partner Victoria Azarenka had ended the challenge of Jamie's brother Andy in the Olympic final on Centre Court.
Hopes had been high of British glory in the mixed doubles event but, in the other half of the draw, Skupski and Broady lost 6-4 6-3 to the No 16 seeded Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan and Russia’s Vera Dushevina.
The Brits were never ahead, with the key moments of the match coming in the opening game of the second set when Skupski and Broady failed to convert any of their seven break-point opportunities.
Qureshi and Dushevina immediately broke themselves in the next game and were soon three-nil ahead - and never looked back.
In the men's doubles, top seeds and defending champions Bob and Mike Bryan remain on target for their fourth title.
The American brothers beat the French pair of Michael Llodra and Nicolas Mahut 7-6 (7/4) 6-3 6-2 - needing just 54 minutes to wrap up sets two and three.
In the final they face two more North Americans - Canadian Vasek Pospisil and Jack Sock of the US.
The unseeded duo eased past the No 5 ranked pair of India’s Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic 7-6 (7/5) 6-3 6-4.
