WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar will step back into the octagon on July 9 to compete at UFC 200 against an as-yet unnamed opponent.

Lesnar has won five and lost three of his mixed-martial arts fights, with his most recent bout when he lost to England's Alistair Overeem at UFC 141 in December 2011.

The Beast Incarnate beat Randy Couture to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship in his fourth fight and then completed successful defences against Frank Mir and Shane Carwin before losing the title to Cain Velasquez.

"Brock Lesnar remains under contract to WWE, however, he has been granted a one-off opportunity to compete at UFC 200," read a statement on WWE.com.

"Following this milestone event on July 9, Brock will return to WWE for SummerSlam on Sunday, August 21."

SummerSlam, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Box Office, will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the second straight year.
