Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows could land their first titles in WWE when they face Tag Team Champions The New Day at SummerSlam.

Club members Anderson and Gallows will go head-to-head with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods in Brooklyn on August 21 after The New Day accepted their challenge of a championship match.

Anderson and Gallows attacked their SummerSlam rivals on the July 25 edition of Raw, before injuring New Day competitor Big E a week later, the powerhouse sustaining a knock to his groin.

Kingston and Woods have agreed to put their titles on the line inside The Barclays Center, live on Sky Sports Office, as they seek revenge on Anderson and Gallows for harming Big E on the red brand.

The New Day are the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in WWE history, the faction having now exceeded Paul London and Brian Kendrick's 331-day stint with the belts a decade ago.

Anderson and Gallows are yet to claim WWE gold but achieved tremendous success in New Japan Pro Wrestling, winning the IWGP Tag Team Championship on three occasions and the World Tag League in 2013.
