John Cena's style, character and swagger has barely changed during his 15 years in WWE.
But, as you can see in the video above, it was a different story back in 2001 when Cena was trying to establish himself as a sports entertainer in Ohio Valley Wrestling.
Known as 'The Prototype' a 24-year old Cena with dyed blonde hair displayed a lot of the charisma we see on display these days.
His ultra-confident persona is one that quickly resonated with fans of WWE's developmental promotion and his strong work ethic is one that impressed WWE bosses.
Even in the early days Cena loved to be on the microphone, with a gimmick where he'd make a noise like an old-fashioned VCR player in rewind to repeat a statement about how great 'The Prototype' was.
OVW was a breeding ground for some of the biggest names in WWE over the last 15 years.
Brock Lesnar, Batista and Randy Orton all came through the system before the pair ended their relationship in 2008.
Cena, who has been away from WWE since Wrestlemania in April, makes his return on Smackdown, live on Sky Sports 5 at 1am on Wednesday morning.
