NXT superstars Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan crashed the Women's Championship Match, ambushing Natalya and Charlotte

There was more chaos in the WWE this week as SmackDown followed Raw in being invaded and attacked by NXT.

On Monday night, the returning Paige led a three-woman contingent in an assault on the red brand which included a backstage attack and an interruption of a women's match.

That feat was repeated on Tuesday when an all-NXT group of Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan, having already attacked Naomi and Becky Lynch backstage, then ambushed the main event.

Natalya was in the midst of her rematch clause for the women's championship - which Charlotte won from her on the previous week's episode - when the trio stormed in.

Speculation about the two attacks has already been rife. The two groups are almost visually identical and their attacks were the same; one backstage, one in the ring.

Some believe they are working together as part of a Paige-led NXT faction seeking to assert control of the main roster women's division while others feel their elevation is paving the way to a women's Royal Rumble in January.
