We have compiled the best bits from this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
The United States Championship tournament dominated SmackDown this week after Bobby Roode and Jinder Mahal booked their place in the final after impressive wins. But there was a surprise for the WWE Universe, when SmackDown general manager Daniel Bryan announced the final would take place at the end of the show.
It was also a night that Roode will never forget. Despite feeling a rib injury throughout the match, the former NXT champion dug deep and picked up a Glorious win over Mahal, winning his first main roster title.
There was a shock on the cards from the Women's division after Riott Squad picked up a victory over Becky Lynch, Naomi and Women's SmackDown Champion Charlotte. It was not without controversy though, as Ruby Riott hit Naomi with an illegal kick from the apron, allowing Liv Morgan to pick up the three count.
