Manny Pacquiao has arrived in Las Vegas ahead of schedule with his historic bout with Floyd Mayweather in 'fight week.'

The Filipino stepped off his private bus at his new base at the Mandalay Bay Hotel on the strip following a 270-mile trip from Freddie Roach's Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles.

The vehicle, a 54-seater luxury Volvo sporting a giant image of Pacquiao's face, was the largest of a 100-car convoy that made the journey east - fans mobbing the popular fighter upon both departure and arrival.

Pacquiao, 36, will make his first official appearance of the week alongside Mayweather on Tuesday ahead of their $300m super-fight, which sees the WBA (super), WBC and WBO titles on the line.

Mayweather v Pacquiao Countdown

The opening fight week press day will kick off when underdog Pacquiao - the only eight-division world champion in the history of the sport - holds a fans' rally at the Mandalay Bay Hotel with trainer Roach and promoter Bob Arum also in attendance.

Pacquiao's preparation is normally relatively open to his fans, 500 of whom regularly follow him on his morning runs but Roach has opted to close off the WBO champion's sparring sessions for this bout with gameplans likely to be crucial in 'the fight of the century.'
